*Reservation recommended* Very cozy little true Italian place. The back was a bit dark (trouble reading the menu) and got loud at times but the place oozes authenticity. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the dishes were amazing. The ingredients are certified DOP Italian and the pasta is freshly made, giving you a true taste of the motherland. My wife chose their signature classic, the flaming cheese wheel pasta. The vodka they use to light it made the sauce a bit too sharp for me but my wife loved it. The antipasto tray and house salads were delicious and the vinaigrette was sharply acidic. My fettuccine with octopus and Gorgonzola was flavorful and had good chew for both the octopus and the fresh pasta. The cannoli cake was amazing but I do wish they’d added some cannoli shell pieces for the crunch texture but the sweetened mascarpone was perfect. Two people with antipasto, wine, and desserts was around $160, not including tip, which they absolutely deserve.

Had a really great experience here with my parents for their anniversary! The wait staff was very pleasant, knowledgeable on the meals and had great recommendations. You’d be a fool to not try the cheese wheel! Cocktails were all very good as well.

simply a pleasant surprise!!! as an Italian I can say: fantastic food it feels like being back in Italy I ate with 5 colleagues all Italian, the appetizer of cold cuts with olives and burrata left an amazing flavor on the palate, the pasta alla carbonara is magical. the perfect service we were welcomed by Simone (the owner) and in an instant we felt at home, then we were pampered by Cathrin always with a smile never intrusive and always ready and professional. I recommend CORTONA'S to everyone if you want an experience not only culinary you are in the right place.

I was trying to find the restaurant I haven't been to and Open table recommendations showed up in this lovely cozy place in Fortville. The restaurant is co-owned by Simone (great cooking experience that clearly stands out in the food) and Beth (handles everything behind the bar). They are just delightful people to talk to. I just wish I was living closer to this place and I would have been regular for sure. The house made pastas are great and Beth suggested perfect wine to pair with. I will surely return here again. For all customers, reservations are highly recommended.

We enjoyed everything about our visit to Cortona’s . The dishes were beautifully presented, the atmosphere was lively yet relaxing, and the service was top-notch. A complete experience. Everything exceeded all expectations. The warm ambiance and friendly staff made us feel at home from the moment we walked in. Each dish was flavorful and left us wanting more! Strongly suggest the Crab Cakes and the Cheese Wheel Pasta!!

I highly recommend trying Cortana’s for dinner. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and they made for a wonderful experience for my parents 35th anniversary. However, the short rib ravioli and the cheese wheel pasta left something to be desired. Both had very little flavor and the portions were lacking. The complimentary dessert was very strong almond flavor which was off putting. I would’ve preferred a normal chocolate and vanilla cake. (Also, no heads up there was almond in the dessert - my brother is very allergic. Thankfully he didn’t try it) I love Italian food and I eat it 70% of the time at home. The beef ragu was amazing at Cortana’s and I’ll get it next time I go. The restaurant has some delicious food and is worth trying!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cortona’s Italian Cuisine & Wine Bar – Fortville, IN Birthday Night to Remember! Took my sister out to Cortona’s for her birthday after seeing their viral TikTok—and it absolutely lived up to the hype! This is the only place in Indiana doing the famous cheese wheel pasta tableside, and let me tell you… it’s a full-on experience. The vibe is warm, intimate, and dare I say… a little sexy . Perfect for a romantic date night or a cozy dinner with close friends. From the appetizers to the wine and that unforgettable cheese wheel pasta with vodka sauce—everything was buenísimo from start to finish. The owner and his wife were incredibly welcoming, and we even snagged a photo with him right before he whipped up our dish tableside. Big shoutout to Caesar for the 5-star service—friendly, attentive, and truly added to the whole experience. If you’re anywhere near Fortville, do yourself a favor and check this hidden gem out.
